It doesn't get any better than this...

First you wake up and bring a friend to the doctor, a friend who was almost dead 2 months ago after being involved in a hit and run accident, and see him walk again for the first time in 2 months.
Then a delivery truck drops off a new shiny laptop at your front door (ok, maybe that's not that important).
And then you see the guy who you know is the best hope for our future win by a landslide.
Does it get any better than this?

I don't know about the "best" but he's certainly much better than the two jackasses who came in 2nd and 3rd.

Congrats Mr. Obama; and good luck in super Tuesday.

As for the Republicans: I guess you idiots really like Dubya cause you just caucussed for his identical twin!
Huckabee wins?? Apparantly reading and rational thought aren't very big among Iowa Republicans.

Glad to hear that Mark is doing better. Hope he gets well real soon. Appears that you were right about Obama but still to much left wing for me. Good luck in South Carolina...

Sounds like a good day to me. The whole caucus seemed to go pretty good and the speeches by Edwards and Hillary when it was over appealed to me because they were not personally bitter but supportive of the cause. Of course you can't really do much when the train comes but to get out of the way. Unless Hillary mobilizes her "machine" she may be dead in the water. Everyone seems to agree we've had enough of the past and it's time to move on to a future of doing things differently.

Yes, it's time to move on.
Thanks Patricia.

I don't think it's a slam dunk for Huckabee by any means. I think all he has left is South Carolina. It won't be settled until Super Tuesday for Obama or Huckabee

Steve: I'm pretty comfortable going along with that idea. But Huckabee does appeal to religious zealots, rednecks and poor white trash and god knows theres alot of those folks out there. That's what concerns me.

The fact that Iowa republicans flipped and flopped over these jackasses further erodes my confidence in the american political system.

I still say we should just have a beauty contest and settle it all in a day...

I personally think we have 3 strong candidates! I would like for Edwards to do well because he'll fight for the little guy a bit harder, but I will contribute and support whoever goes up against the Republicans.
remember people - the antichrist won't announce he's the devil, he'll wrap himself with a cloak of religion.
dubya is a classic example

A beauty contest? Dang, be careful what you say because I'm sure your guy Ron Paul wouldn't win a beauty contest :-)

To use a quote from Sinclair lewis that even Ron Paul is using these days:
“When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”

Thierry: Nor would your's. This election would be based soley on hair cuts. Rominy vs Edwards and Edwards would certainly win. He paid 8x more than anyone else...
