So, if it is for the children, and you stated earlier that smokers shouldn't mind 3 cent per cig. tax, then can't everyone pay something if the program is really worth it.<BR/><BR/>I am also not debating the program - I just am very opposed to taxes aimed at segments of the population. Even with my hatred for cigarettes (they killed father and grandfathers) I am still especially sensitive to the federal government's propensity to tax tobacco while avoiding liquor. <BR/><BR/>If tobacco was grown in Mass, NY, etc, and liquor was brewed in NC, SC, GA - which do you think would be targeted with all these taxes?<BR/><BR/>BTW - what is the purpose of the wiggly word to sign in?
